Aliya P. Poshni, MD
Obstetrician and Gynecologist
Dr Aliya Poshni is a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been board certified since 2003. She has been an active member of the departments of OB-GYN at Shady Grove Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring and at Germantown. She is the former Chairman of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Germantown Holy Cross Hospital. For the 2024-2026 term, she’s the Vice President of the Medical Staff at Germantown Holy Cross Hospital.
Dr. Poshni attended the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine where she received her Doctorate in Medicine in 1997. During medical school, she was involved in several research projects and received recognition for her work in diabetes in the Department of Surgery and Transplant and is cited in publication. Dr. Poshni completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology also from the University of Maryland. She was recognized for her excellence in resident training and was awarded recognition for teaching medical students, and served as a Chief Resident from 2000 to 2001.
Dr. Poshni is an active member of her community and serves on local boards in her community. She is a lifelong Marylander and a supporter of local institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, where she attended as an undergrad, and sports teams like the Orioles and the Ravens. As mother of 3 daughters, she feels strongly about supporting women in their careers and in STEM education, and she has supported many young women in their endeavors towards nursing, medical, and health professional fields. Dr. Poshni has been awarded Washingtonian Top Doctor multiple times in her career.
Leslie B. Masiky, MD
Obstetrician and Gynecologist
Dr. Leslie Masiky is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2009. Dr. Masiky is an accomplished minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon and also enjoys caring for patients needing outpatient gynecologic care and surgical procedures. She has served as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Masiky attended the Medical College of Virginia where she received her Doctorate in Medicine in 2003. While at the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Masiky was awarded the Taliaferro Award as well as the Medicine Commonwealth Award. She went on to residency training at the George Washington University where she received the Attending Physician Association Award for her outstanding skills in clinical diagnosis and management. She also served as Chief Resident and completed Residency training in 2007.
Dr. Masiky was nominated and selected to serve on the Board of Directors for Holy Cross Health in January 2024. She has held several leadership positions at Holy Cross Hospital, including serving as former President of the Medical Staff at Holy Cross Germantown. She has been awarded Washingtonian Top Doctor multiple years. She is married with two sons.
